Air sealing closes the hidden gaps that let warm air escape, such as attic bypasses, top plates, rim joists and openings around chimneys, pipes and wiring. Insulation then slows the heat that moves through attics, walls and crawlspaces. The result is a more comfortable home with fewer drafts.
